Hi People,

First post! Curious question- say I have an olive tree. This tree will not fruit unless it has at least another within about 30-40 feet (I understand).

So, lets say I snip off 4-5 tips of twigs/sprouts in July, remove most of the leaves from bottom, scrape gently the "bark" 1-2" from base, rootdone it, lower each sprout in damp dirt. Cover with plastic bag and tie knot. Leave under "filtered sun" for about 4 months.

When they finally sprout, they are transplanted and nurtured to trees. Will these new tree "clones" be suitable to cross pollenate the mother tree/each other??

Thanks!
