I live in Andaluc?a, Spain. I know many small-size olive oil producers, some of which are organic. The quality of the oil is exceptional. I am interested in collectively helping these small producers sell their oil in the UK and beyond. The market is depressed here and prices are dropping. I also have access to relatively inexpensive transport to get the oil to the UK and northern Europe.

If I tried to sell on my own to specialty shops and restaurants in the UK, what documentation would I need to legally sell the oil? Any tariffs or taxes?

Are restaurants/ shops interested in using their own label for their oil?

Or, am I better to go via a broker or agent?

Your advice and suggestions are greatly welcomed.

Hi, I don't think that you need any particular permit or authorization to import and sell EVOO from Portugal to UK as its stay within Europe (same with USA tho). Just be sure that your products is properly labeled and manufactured, but remember that it's a very competitive Market with EVOO from North Africa, Middle East, Italy and of course Spain Wink

Good luck to you
