Bertolli plans to colour-code olive oil ranges

LONDON – Bertolli has undertaken a global make-over to coincide with the launch of three olive oil variants in the UK.

FutureBrand has created  the branding, which emphasises the individual taste of each variant. It will be rolled out from this week.

The original olive oil is differentiated with a yellow band, while the mild taste extra virgin olive oil variant has a blue band, fruity green and full-bodied red.

The bottle has been given more rounded edges to make the shape more unique to Bertolli.

The brand is the global market-leading olive oil brand, although it has only a 2.5% market share in the UK, according to the company.
