Unilever to sell Turkish Olive Oil business
Unilever Plc. said it has signed a definitive agreement to sell Komili, the olive oil brand that it owns in Turkey, for an undisclosed price to Ana Gida, part of the Anadolu Group and expects to close the deal in 2008.
The international food manufacturer said the transaction is part of its announced plans to dispose of non-strategic brands, with collectively more than 2 billion euros in turnover, it added.
Komili generated about 26 million euros in turnover for Unilever in 2007, it added.
